Hi! My name is Michael Aiello. I am a senior at Bradford high school. Back when my twin brother and I were in first grade, we went on a cruise with our family. We sang Lee Greenwood‘s song, “God Bless the USA," and won first place in the contest. That was the first time I sang in front of an audience. I have always loved older music (for my parents always played it around the house), but it was in first grade when Joey formally introduced me to the Beatles. He gave Chuckie and I the idea that we should start a band someday. We were young and really didn’t understand how to go about this, so we didn’t think much of it. It wasn’t until 5th grade that we started to sing together during recess, after church, or wherever we could, and people would crowd around us and listen! The Bugs career started in April of 2008 when we sang at Holy Rosary’s Annual Angel Auction. We sang a capella as the guests were walking in, and then sang on stage. From that point on people started asking about us and a chain reaction occurred. We've been playing ever since; however we aren't just an a Capella group anymore, we have acquired instruments. I play bass and have been playing bass for four years.
Not only am I singing and playing bass in "The Bugs," but also am I involved in many of KUSD'S musical theater productions. I have been in Guys and Dolls as Nicely Nicely Johnson, Annie, Dessa Rose, and Shrek the musical which we performed at the International Thespian Festival in June. I have taken two pieces to state at solo and ensemble and received a 1 and a 1 with a State Soloist Exemplary Award. In addition I sing every Sunday for mass at Holy Rosary. Besides singing and playing bass I also like to bowl, hang out with family and friends, and sing and play softball with my friends. It is important for me to try and maintain a 4.0 grade point average in school. As you can see singing and performing plays a large part of my life, but I enjoy every moment of it.
Joey is the keyboard player and singer of the group. He has played piano since he was just a young lad! He enjoys every minute of performing and hopes he can continue to do it in the future! He would like to thank his family for the love and support they constantly give him and all of you for making what he does possible!
Chuckie Aiello is the Guitarist and Singer in the group. He has been playing guitar since he was in second grade and began singing since he could talk. He would like to thank his family for everything they have provided him with; he loves them with his whole heart. He would also like to thank the audience and their amazing reactions that make performing worth it!
Noah is the newest member of The Bugs - since 2013 - and even though he is new, he really enjoys it! He is the drummer of the group and is also involved in cross country and jazz band at Bradford High School. He would like to thank his family for all the love he has recieved as well as all the audience members that make performing fun!
